Biography
Sandrine is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Toronto's Centre for Industrial Relations and Human Resources and a J.D./B.C.L. candidate at McGill University's Faculty of Law. Building on her background in Criminology and Sociolegal Studies, her research explores the world of work within the prison setting. This research endeavor involves several avenues of interest including incarcerated workers’ exclusion from Canadian employment legislation, the role of prison industries within Canadian political economy, and the history and theory of “employment” that excludes prisoners from the employment relationship.
