Margaret Yap is an Associate Professor in HR Management in the Ted Rogers School of Management at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), and a CIRHR alumnus who has dedicated over 20 years of her career to research and teaching, including courses at the CIRHR. Prior to joining TMU, she was a research director at a non-profit research and advisory organization, and held numerous human resources management roles at a multinational organization, including a three-year international assignment in Asia/Pacific. She was also the Director of the Diversity Institute in Management and Technology at the Ted Rogers School of Management from 2006 - 2011, receiving numerous grants to conduct research projects in diversity in organizations, and publishing several articles on the topic. Her doctoral dissertation was awarded the best Ph.D. dissertation in Human Resources, and she has also received the HR Academic of the Year Award in 2012, organized by the HRPA to recognize the very best in HR management across the country.
