Description
This fall, Lancaster House, in association with TurnPenney Milne LLP and the CIRHR, will be delivering a two-day, interactive program for investigators, managers, and HR professionals who are comfortable with the basics of workplace investigations and want to focus on more advanced topics and skills development.
Participants will learn to:
- approach complex multi-party complaints with confidence;
- investigate allegations of systemic discrimination;
- deal with factors complicating investigations such as mental health disabilities, leaves/absences, police involvement, and media coverage;
- identify situations in which a trauma-informed approach is particularly important;
- assess credibility in situations where one person’s word is pitted against another with little or no corroborating evidence;
- write and identify succinct reports that withstand scrutiny;
- identify appropriate post-investigation remedial action and restorative practices.
This program has been approved for 13 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours under Section A of the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Log of the Human Resource Professionals Association (HRPA).
